May 1st 2009 In August 2009, the Interfaith Network will celebrate its 20th anniversary. The Network formalised its beginnnings at City Hall on 21 August, 1989 where leaders of faith communities signed a Common Statement making a personal commitment to the Mayor and Councillors of the day to work together for the promotion of harmonious relations in Springvale's multicultural, multi-faith community. |

March 8th 2009 On Sunday 8th March 2009, the Interfaith Network of the City of Greater Dandenong in partnership with the City of Greater Dandenong, held a Multi-Faith Community Gathering for a time of prayer and reflection. The gathering, held in Dandenong Park, was organised in response to the terrible bushfires which devastated many communities in Victoria in February. |

October 21st 2008 The Greater Dandenong Combined Schools' Interfaith Annual Gathering was well attended on 21 October in the Springvale Town Hall with some 900 students attending with fourteen schools taking part. |
