Respectful: All are requested to remove their shoes before entering the Sikh Gurdwara, Practices: Hindu and Buddhist Temples and Islamic Mosque, and in the Hindu Temple head coverings should be removed. Women entering the Mosque are asked to cover their heads and wear clothing which covers arms to wrists and legs to ankles, men are asked to cover their heads in the Jewish Synagogue and all are asked to cover their heads in the Gurdwara. Visitors should have no tobacco on their person when entering the Gurdwara.

In August 2009, the Interfaith Network celebrated its 20th anniversary. This was an important milestone for the Network and for the wider community as the Interfaith Network of the City of Greater Dandenong is the oldest network in Australia.

Interfaith Directory

The Network consists of leaders of the Baha’i, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Islamic, Jewish and Sikh faiths and their communities. The spiritual organisations of the Sathya Sai and the Brahma Kumaris are also members.
