Helen is committed to the work of interfaith peace and understanding and has been involved in the Interfaith Network of the City of Greater Dandenong since 2000, serving as President since 2004. Helen was a Community Organiser for the Parliament of the World’s Religions held in Melbourne in December 2009. The City of Greater Dandenong and the Interfaith Network work in a close partnership to promote peace and harmony within the municipality. As Councils representative, Biljana Komnenovic fills the role of the Convenor of the Interfaith Network of the City of Greater Dandenong. Biljana is privileged to be involved with the Interfaith Network and considers it an extremely important, rewarding and enjoyable part of her position. | | | |  | Murray Lobley Chairperson Murray has been a member of the Interfaith Network for eight years, representing the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.He presides over the Church's Melbourne Temple at Wantirna. An engineer by profession with a BA, MA and a UNE graduate in Islamic Studies, Murray is the church's interfaith specialist, a member of the PWR Advisory Council, and Board member of GreenFaith organisation. Murray is married to Judy. | | | |  | Rajadurai Varendran Treasurer & Public Officer Rajadurai is a member of the Hindu Society of Victoria which manages the Shiva Vishnu Temple Carrum Downs. Originally from the Hindu Tamil community in Sri Lanka, he migrated to Australia in 1995 working as a Chartered Accountant from 1995 until retirement in 2001. Varen has been involved in the Interfaith Network since September 2007. | | | |  | Margaret Fields Secretary Sister Margaret Fields is committed to inter-religious dialogue, and values being part of the Interfaith Network of the City of Greater Dandenong. She has been involved with the Interfaith Network for fourteen years. Sr. Margaret works as the Pastoral Associate in St. Mary’s Parish, Dandenong | | | |  | Agnes Kean Executive Member Agnes is a founding member of the Interfaith Network of the City of Greater Dandenong. Agnes is also the Secretary of the Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Greater Dandenong. Agnes considers it her privilege to work alongside her co-workers in the Interfaith Network in seeking to gain and promote a better understanding and knowledge of the diverse faiths within the Network. | | | |  | Achutha Prasad Radhakrishnan Executive Member Achutha Prasad is a strong believer in the power of network and seamless connection. Currently he serves as spiritual coordinator at the Springvale Sathya Sai spiritual centre and is actively involved in ‘Love in hearts, Loving acts’ and ‘Help Ever’, a forum that renders service without seeking reward. Achutha holds a degree in Law and Cost and Management Accounting and is a landscape designer. | | | |  | Stephen Morris Executive Member Reverend Stephen Morris is the Vicar of St Aidan’s Anglican Church Noble Park. The Interfaith Network is very important to Stephen because it gives him an opportunity to work with his brothers and sisters from other communities. Stephen's hope is that people will join together to create an atmosphere of trust where they may see justice and equality for all in the City of Greater Dandenong. |
